"Not content with a 'Rescue' dog, we added to our troubles with a puppy! Using Jan Fennell methods we did our best to unravel the complications, but in the end we swallowed our pride and contacted Georgie. "We first contacted Georgina because both our dogs (and in particular Sky) were inclined to be very boistrous and noisy whenever we had visitors and also they were very excitable at mealtimes. A separate problem was that Sky barked continuously when we met other dogs while on walks. I rehomed Darcy and had the normal problems owners have with their dog, he wouldn't walk on his lead, off his lead if he saw something interesting he was off. He used to jump on everybody who walked through my door, he had no manners at all.

"Quite by chance, two weeks before collecting our 8 week old chocolate lab, my husband Gordon spotted Jan Fennell's book 'The Practical Dog Listener' and thought we should read it. How fortunate, as this completely transformed our approach to acclimatising a very loving but strong-minded and boisterous dog to our 'pack'! However, we experienced some behavioural difficulties (eg Abigail lauching herself at us like a large furry exocet missile on an almost daily basis! Not good when she weighs 5 stone!) and knew that we needed expert help! Enter Georgina...! Amongst the turmoil everything else that was happening, I wondered whether I would be able to manage the care of our beloved dog on my own. She has been able to provide me with much needed reassurance and sensible advice, with the result that I now feel far more confident of being able to provide Abigail with what she needs.
